Can I pay my bill with a credit card?
Do you allow pets?
Jefferson Commons is a pet friendly community! Permitted animals must weigh no more than 50 lbs. and aggressive breeds are not permitted. No more than one animal is permitted in a bedroom and no more than two animals are permitted in an apartment.
How close are you to Grounds?
Jefferson Commons is steps away from Grounds, the Corner and the Medical Center.
How do I apply?

How many residents can live in each apartment?
You may have up to six residents in each unit.
If I pay in full, do I get a discount?
Jefferson Commons does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!
Is parking available?
Reserved parking is available at Jefferson Commons. Additional parking spots are available at GrandMarc at the Corner. Please call 434-293-5787 for more info.
What do I need to hook my computer up to the Internet?
You will need a CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable. We have internet outlets in each bedroom and common area. Your computer must be configured properly for the internet to work. Your computer or device must be registered as an active device with our internet service provider. We also have community-wide WiFi.
What types of apartments are available?
Twenty 4-bedroom units as well as two 1-bedroom units.
What types of leases are available?
We offer 12 installment leases.
What utilities are included in my monthly installment?
Our rental package covers parking, high-speed internet, & trash. The resident is responsible for electric and water.
When can I move in?
We have 12 month leases that start in June, July, and August. Perfect for summer school and/or grad school students looking for an earlier move-in date!
When is my first payment due?
Your first payment is due no later than the first day of your lease. We recommend submitting your payment before your lease start date to ensure a smooth move-in process.
Will you send me a bill for each installment?
We do not send any invoices, but for your convenience, you can use our online resident portal to check your balance at any time. However, payment is due at the first of the month and is considered late if not paid within five days after the first day of the month.
Renewal Questions
Can I renew but change roommates?
Yes! You can renew even if you plan to change some of your roommates for the upcoming year. Contact our leasing office to let us know who will stay, leave, and be added to your lease for next year!
If I renew, do I have to move out and move back in?
When you renew and choose to stay in your current spot, no moving is required!
How do I renew my lease?
We know how busy you are, so we have made
the process as quick and easy as possible. Renewing is a easy as
"1,2,3"! Just following these steps:
1. Open your renewal email from us.
2. Review the terms, and click "Accept"
3. Follow the prompts to sign the new lease agreement.

Renewing now will provide the most benefit to you. By signing early, you will secure your space for next year and take advantage of the best pricing available.
